The bay is part of the NATURA 2000 protected area BG0000146 \u0022Plazh Gradina-Zlatna Ribka\u0022. \r\nThe area includes various marine habitats: seagrass meadows, different soft bottom biotopes, and reefs with macroalgae and black mussels.
