The buoy was deployed in 2019 by the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of the Lombardy Region (ARPA Lombardia) within the AQST Lago di Varese. The buoy is presently managed in cooperation between CNR IRSA and ARPA Lombardia. The buoy is equipped with sensors for pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and algal pigments (about 1.5 m depth), a thermistor chain, and a weather station, Sensor for pigment monitoring (Trilux, Chelsea) measures chlorophyll, phycocyanin (PC) and phycoerithrin (PE). Each sensor is wire connected to the electronic control unit, which has been specifically designed within the project for the signal acquisition from the sensors, data storage, basic data elaboration, and wireless transfer.","size":{"value":null,"unit":"ha"},"elevation":{"min":193,"max":193,"unit":"msl"},"images":null}}
